The curve tool is only for visualization of the curves, currently.
To see the curves, please make sure that a surface is loaded.
    For example, drag and drop
<subject>.inner.cortex.dfs into brainsuite and the curves will show up. thx,

Reinstallation of Matlab Runtime might fix the issue.

Ok, i narrowed it down and it actually is a bug, but we will fix it in the next release.
As a workaround, you can do the following

    In your brainsuite installation

    1. Rename the file BrainSuite21a/svreg/BCI-DNI_brain_atlas/sulcal_protocol_HD.xml to
    BrainSuite21a/svreg/BCI-DNI_brain_atlas/sulcal_protocol_HD.xml.old

    2. copy /home/ajoshi/BrainSuite21a/svreg/BCI-DNI_brain_atlas/BCI-DNI_brain.sulcal_protocol_HD.xml to /home/ajoshi/BrainSuite21a/svreg/BCI-DNI_brain_atlas/sulcal_protocol_HD.xml

Now if you reprocess the data, it should work as intended.

It seems a bit odd, let me see if I get the same error.

Are you able to open files without .refined.dfc?

Please use the .dfc files without .all in their names.
The .all files are nonstandard and have an extended set of curves which might not be compatible with some brainsuite versions.

It should work fine via Rosetta 2. A person in our lab uses it.

It shows the command in the log window. Can you try that command in the command prompt in windows and check if the error happens again?

You can just save the surface with .obj extension. It will be saved in obj format.
Another alternative is to import it in matlab or python and then save it back.
The readers for matlab and python for the dfs format are included in the source code. The file names for them are readdfs.m and dfsio.py.

Sure, Please have a look at
    http://brainsuite.org/processing/surfaceextraction/pvc/

I would go through the brainsuite tutorial which

    Also for labeling
    http://brainsuite.org/quickstart/svreg/

If you go through getting stated sequence in brainsuite, that will give you good overview of the software as well as answer your questions in more detail. Please feel free to reach out if you still have any questions.
For that click on Getting Started on http://brainsuite.org/ and the first 3 subsections would be very useful.

Great! it probably is due to some header issue in the original image. Glad that it is working now.

To me, the header info looks good and should not be a problem. Is there a long neck in the acquisition? The only time when I see an issue with the skull stripping is when there is a long neck or if there is some imaging artifact. You can use the mask tool in BrainSuite to clean up the images or remove the neck. If that doesn’t work if you can share the image or screenshot I can have a look.

The installation needs the exact version of MCR (2019b) in this case.

It is possible that there is a header issue in your images. Please check if the header in your images is correct. Based on the error message you mention it seems that the values are all 0 or negative.
    To check the header.
Please 1) open the image in BrainSuite,
    2) Goto Tools->Volume Info

If you still have the problem, if you can post that information here I can have a look.

It might be possible that the image header is wrong. Can you check if the image values are positive?
