      Hi
      I am trying to install BrainSuite/23a from the prebuilt binary package, but after extracting the package and run

      BrainSuite23a

      gives me the follow error message:

      BrainSuite23a: /lib64/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.29′ not found (required by BrainSuite23a)
      BrainSuite23a: /lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.26′ not found (required by BrainSuite23a)

      The OS system I ran on is a Centos Alma8 machine.

      I would apprecaite it if someone could give me some hints how to solve this issue. Thank you.

      Best,
      Yun

      hello –

      I don’t use Alma, so I’m less familiar with the versions of the libraries it has available. It looks like Alma Linux 8 is somewhat out of date, with active support having just ended on 31 May 2024 (https://wiki.almalinux.org/release-notes/).

      I took a look at Alma 8.10, and the latest versions it has are GLIBC_2.28 and GLIBCXX_3.4.25, both of which are one version too old.

      Are you trying to run BrainSuite on the command line only, or are you trying to use the GUI?

      thanks,
      David
