I ran into a similar issue with SVReg before. What worked for me was reinstalling the SVReg toolbox and making sure all the file paths in MATLAB were correctly set. I ran into the same issue with SVREG and the USC Lobes Atlas. It turned out that the paths in the manifest file were off.
